Where can I buy some of your tasty looking cakes?

You can find my cupcakes at WaiKikaMooKau Cafe on Kensington Gardens. Alternatively you can order via e-mail, just hit the “Contact Me” button at the bottom of the page.

Is there a minimum order?

The current minimum order is a batch of 6 cupcakes in one flavour or a batch of 12 with 2 flavours.

How do we get our hands on the cakes?

You can come & collect your order from the North Laine area of Brighton. Once you’ve placed an order I can give you more specific details but we’re in between Brighton station and Vegetarian Shoes. If you’d like the cakes delivered within the central Brighton area then let me know & I’ll see what I can do.

How far in advance should we place our order?

I make all of my baked goods to order so they get to you nice and fresh so please try to give me at least a week’s notice when ordering. For large orders let me know as soon as possible so that I can pencil you into the diary!

I don’t live in Brighton, can I order some goodies online?

I’m afraid not. Brighton’s awesome though & well worth a trip! Think about visiting WaiKikaMooKau or ordering a box of cupcakes if you’re ever in the area!

Do you really give all of your profits to charity?

Indeed I do.

Which charities do you donate money to?

I currently donate to Sea Shepherd, The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service and The Monkey Sanctuary.

Sea Shepherd are an international non-profit, marine wildlife & conservation organisation. Their mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the worlds oceans. I have always wanted to volunteer to be part of the crew on a Sea Shepherd ship but I get horrifically sea sick and I’m terrified of water so I think I’d be more of a hinderance than a help, raising money to support them this way is probably a much better idea!

The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service provide a front-line rescue service for wildlife casualties. WRAS deal with calls from both the public and other animal welfare organisations and they are staffed entirely by volunteers.

The Monkey Sanctuary is based in Looe Bay in Cornwall and they specialise in rescuing Monkeys from the trade in primates as pets. The Monkey Sanctuary is one of my favourite places to visit, in part because of the cute monkeys and in part because their cafe makes a kick ass vegan burger.

Raystede Animal Sanctuary, located in Uckfield, have been caring for animals for over 60 years and help to re-home many dogs, cats and small animals as well as operating a wildlife hospital and offering lifelong homes for goats ponies, horses and donkeys. They also run Pet Link, a fostering service for families fleeing domestic abuse.

I’ve also baked cupcakes for many local fundraisers including The Poppy Project, Brighton Pro-Choice & The Brighton Feminist Collective. Drop me an e-mail if you’d like me to help with your fundraising!

Do you make any Gluten Free products?

I make cupcakes without gluten using certified gluten free flours from Infinity Foods and Dove’s Farm. Currently the Pistachio, Peanut Butter Bombshell, Double Chocolate Dream, Black Forest Gateaux and Mint Chocolate Chip cupcakes can be made without gluten. In addition to these I can top a no-gluten chocolate cupcake with vanilla or raspberry frosting. The cupcakes are not certified gluten free as I work from a very small kitchen and whilst I try my hardest to prevent cross contamination my baked goods may not be okay for someone with coeliac disease.

Are your baked goods Fair Trade?

We only use certified Fair Trade cocoa powder, sugar and icing sugar.

Unfortunately not all of the decorations are Fair Trade at present but if you want your order to be completely Fair Trade I can do that just drop me an e-mail.
